The project starts with mPress, a Masterhead distribution amplifier equipped with two microphone inputs, 48V Phantom power supply for condenser microphones and an integrated limiter to prevent overload caused by excessively agitated speakers. Eight balanced microphone outputs can be used to provide the signal to a small press room. For larger system requirements, you can implement a series of Exo-Modular pods. These external modules are connected via standard microphone cables and have ten balanced microphone outputs and four 3.5 mm mini TRSs to power recorders or portable cameras. To eliminate ronzies and disturbances caused by mass loops, loose DC currents and non-ideal power systems, all outputs are equipped with insulation transformer.
The modular approach of mPress replaces the wiring tangle that usually hinders the development of an ordered system, and allows to create zones for the various groups. From each of the XLR outputs of mPress it is possible to concatenate up to four Exo-Pod together, for a total of 320 microphones and 128 recording outputs. An integrated tone device-tests 1 kHz provides everyone with a reference level and the built-in headphone amplifier will help you solve problems. To simplify configurations, a main stereo output is available to power a pair of amplified speakers and transmit the event to the public. Separate audio inputs also allow mPress to play background music waiting for host speakers.
