PEACE presents Rototom RT-1 Support
Originally developed in the 1970s from Al Payson and Michael Colgrass, the Rototom spread in very different contexts, from progressive rock to experimental and orchestral music. Unlike most percussion, Rototums are tools with variable tuning height to allow glisight effects. They generally used as a normal battery extension kit, or in percussion sections, even orchestral, together or as a replacement of the tympanons. In the percussion teaching are a valid substitute for the most bulky and expensive tympanons.
