Novation is incredibly proud to announce the release of Summit, the new flagship synth for studio and stage. Built on the same innovative foundations of the acclamato Peak, the true design capabilities of the Summit sound, the two-part multi-timber motor with 16 voices and the intuitive tactile workflow are combined with a synth that is much more than the sum of its parts. With its multi-timbre architecture and 16 polyphony voices, Summit is like two Peaks in a tool, which allows you to divide or overlap two completely independent patches on the keyboard or alternating on the flight. But it is not at all the end of the story: the addition of double filters, front panel controls remarkably expanded, audio input and, of course, the same high-quality five octaves keyboard introduced with the MIDI SL MkIII controller, puts the Summit a creative alloy apart. At the heart of the Summit is the New Oscillator Digital Oxford, three of which are used by each of its 16 voices. They are hosted on the FPGA chip (Field Programmable Gate Array), which not only helps to generate authentic analog waveforms with high resolution (24MHz), but also facilitates FM synthesis and wavetable for rich, complex and highly structured crude sounds. The FPGA fits into a true stereo analog signal path, including two 12dB/otave filters (changeable between six combinations of pass mode-low, pass-high and passes-band), analog VCA and three stages of distortion (pre and post -filter and post-VCA. E' the union of impeccable oscillators of analog emulation with authentic analog filters and saturation that make the sound of the Summit incredibly warm and fat. Summit also boasts a wide range of modulation sources and allocation options, three breathtaking effects, audio input for routing external sources in those effects (using the other multitimber part as a synth) and an auxiliary output. E the front panel expands considerably on the Peak layout with the addition of dedicated controls for FM, all LFOs, effects and more. Simply the best and most versatile synth that Novation has ever made, Summit offers the producer or true musician everything he needs to design and play incredible bass, lead, strings, pads, effects, sound bases and more.
