YAMAHA presents RSS20 Swift Blue

Yamaha announced a new range of Revstar electric guitars. Originally launched in 2015, Revstar was the first new series of Yamaha electric guitars in more than a decade, drawing on the heritage of the brand in the design of electric guitars and to the legacy of the Yamaha Motor Co.'s motorcycle design. Ltd. "The original revstar concept was inspired by the Café Racer motorcycles: high-performance racing machines that showed the personality of motorcyclists," says Dave Miner, Product Marketing Manager for Electric Guitars, Yamaha Guitar Group. "The new Revstar series refines this concept concept with soundability, versatility and improved tone, for musicians interested in classic style with modern updates." The new Revstar series is composed of three levels: element, standard and made in Japan Professional. All models are equipped with cameras bodies developed with the Yamaha acoustic design process. Using advanced measurement and modeling tools, Yamaha has developed the champling pattern to specifically shape the sound and increase resonance, reducing weight and optimizing balance. All the new Revstar models are equipped with unique switching options for greater versatility. The Standard and Professional Revstar models, available with Humbuckers or Single Pickups-P90-style coil, are equipped with the focus switch, a passive boost function that evokes the sound of overwound pickups, as well as an exclusive 5-way switching circuit that offers a new twist on the classic "intermediate" sounds.
