The completely new design of the MKII brings the performance of this award-winning sound machine to a completely new level. To make the sound of the ht-5R MKII full and rich even at the lowest volume levels, BlackStar designed a push amplifier-Low power pull that produces the characteristics of crunch and break-Up of a traditional 100W output stage, but with a much lowest volume.
You get from using a 12BH7 double-triode valve in Push configuration-Pull that produces a 5 watt output, rich in harmonics and valve compression. The Power Reduction Switch takes you to 0.5 Watts without any compromise on the sound: perfect for piloting the power stage of the valve at home or in the studio. The Patented Blackstar ISF circuit offers you an infinite setting of the sound features and takes you from the US to the United Kingdom. So you can effectively design your sound and finally find "the sound in your head".
