The MKIII MKIII MKIII Active Microphone very cool and combines the best of two worlds: the heat of a ribbon and the stability of a fet buffer amplifier. This means that you can use the R1 MKIII with long cables and almost any PREAMP with Phantom power to 48V. A clean and clear sound, but hot and incisive that the active R1 Mkiii provide in many cases. We like the battery, as a microphone environment or in pairs for O.h shooting, but sounds good with most tools.
