The Virtual Resonance Modeling Lite (VRM Lite) of Yamaha simulates the sympathetic resonances that would try in a grand piano, since the sound of reverberation strings through the entire instrument. The YDP 165 also has a range of escapes on the back of the cabinet. This propagates the sound from the speakers through the physical piano, recreating sound radiation and three-dimensional resonance that would try with an acoustic instrument.
Intelligent acoustic control (IAC) provides a full and balanced sound with rich bass and clear highs even at low volume. While playing low volume, it often struggles to feel the bass and the highs with all the normal details. The Yamaha IAC function automatically adjusts the sound while volume control performs fine adjustments to the speaker system, ensuring that you can always enjoy the highest sound quality even at low volumes.
A great feature of digital pianos is the ability to exercise in silence using headphones. The YDP 165 has satisfied this feature with a stereo optimizer. This function regulates the sound spacing and the separation of the instrument, obtaining a quality of natural and spacious surround sound and immersing in the natural sounds of the piano. This changes your sound perception as coming from the body of the instrument rather than by headphones, providing a more realistic and natural experience.
