ISA 828MKII incorporates eight classic focusrite microphone preamplifiers, with Lundahl LL1538 transformers on each input. Each channel has the choice between MIC or Line Inputs, while the inputs 1-4 also feature instrument inputs on the front panel. Each microphone preamplifier has a variable input impedance, to provide a range of slightly different sonor possibilities when using microphones, including a "ISA 110" setting, which replicates the impedance of the Microphone Preamp Original focusritis. They are available up to 60dB of gain, with an additional + 20dB of trim with continuous variation, which offers a wide range of 80dB. The filter passes-High has a fixed frequency of 75Hz and a roll-Off of 18DB / octave to minimize rhombus, background noise and other low-frequency sounds. ISA 828 MKII also has LED meters per channel, six segments and switchable insert points on the rear panel, which allow the use of inline processors such as compressors or equalizers. The dedicated connectors for MIC and Line Inputs allow you to simultaneously connect all sources, making ISA 828 MKII perfect for permanent installation in a rack. A switching power supply allows efficient and fresh operation, without sacrificing sound quality or performance and increasing reliability with respect to its predecessor. The optional analog expansion card to digital ISA ADN8 provides eight Dante, ADAT and AES3 outputs with sampling frequencies up to 24-Bit / 192khz.
