ZOOM presents XYH6 X / Y

The XYH capsule-6 X / Y adds two high-quality one-way microphones to your H6 or H5. This type of microphone is more sensitive to signal coming in front, and less sensitive to the signal coming from the back or sides: in technical terms, it is said that it uses a cardioid polar diagram. These microphones have the largest membrane (0.579 "= 14.6 mm) of any portable recorder. Playing X / Y stereo traces in mono is a fake sound than one could get with a single microphone, but if mono compatibility is critical (for Example in television production), the MID technique-Side (MS) can be a better choice.
